About Dr. Craig Ashcroft

Dr Craig Ashcroft was born in Australia but moved to New Zealand in 1989. A former University Lecturer and a Government Policy Advisor; Doctor Craig (as he is referred to by his friends and colleagues) has published in a variety of academic journals, presented at national and international conferences, and was formerly a writer and contributor for a popular TV series.

Despite his professional success, Doctor Craig has suffered anxiety and depression for most of his adult life and was, for over 15 years, on medication for these.

In 2010 Doctor Craig's long-term relationship ended when he discovered that his partner of many years had been having an affair. Rather than let this experience feed into his anxieties and depression, Doctor Craig used it as an opportunity to re-evaluate his life and pursue his growth potential.

Today Doctor Craig advocates advancing the role of Men in the World: in their relationships, families and communities. As a regular contributor to Becoming Better Men (http://becomingbettermen.blogspot.com/) Doctor Craig believes that it is the responsibility and purpose of all Men to become the best version of themselves that they can be: to strive to be an Authentic Man.
